Words
- Verse 1
-
September was the first time, when you covered me in doubt.
I can’t step back to see you clearer now. I’ve lost my head I am without.
Oh, honey, honey, it’s the precious time, between the nightfall and the rise.
If there’s a kingdom to be voted for, I am the minister of dice.
- Verse 2
-
If I only had direction, I could run a million miles.
But my compass spins like crazy. I play my cards in different piles.
Oh, honey, honey, I can be the one that you care for and adore.
If there’s a palace to be moving to, I will move with you some more.
- Verse 3
-
September was the last time that I felt like this inside.
And if my feelings do get through to you, there will be madness on the ride.
Oh, honey, honey, I can get no sleep. You are a message from above.
If I don’t do you like you tell me to, I’ll be like oven with no stove.
